- Always involve thinking or behaving imaginatively.
- Must be purposeful, directed towards an objective.
- These processes must generate something original.
- Outcome must be of value in relation to the objective.
ELEMENTS OF CREATIVITY:

- Making connections and seeing relationships.
- Envisaging what might be.
- Exploring ideas, keeping options open.
- reflecting critically on ideas, actions and outcomes.
Mark Redman from the centre for excellence in media practice defines creativity as:
- A specialised form of human production(elitist).
- Any form of expressive production(democratic).
- Divergent thinking(physiological).
- Innovation(knowledge economy).
- Function of technology(new technology)
